Prestige Fire Extinguishers

Prestige fire extinguishers are Jactone’s polished-finish line for interiors where a standard red industrial cylinder is the wrong look. The agent and the EN3 rating stay professional; the cylinder is mirror-polished with a stainless handle and a colour-coded header. HSE Store stocks three models: 6 litre water for Class A solids; 6 litre Eco Plus PFAS-free foam for Class A and B (label rating 13A | 113B on the current fluorine-free unit); and 2 kg CO2 (EC2FPA) with frost-free horn, 55B, polished aluminium body, ~9.7 s discharge, 500 × 117 mm, filled ~5.02 kg, −20 °C to +60 °C.

Specify Prestige for receptions, hotels, boardrooms, showrooms, restaurants, galleries and listed buildings — anywhere the fire point is on show. Use water on paper and furnishings, foam where liquids sit with combustibles, and CO2 on electrics and flammable liquids with no residue. Prestige is not a marine MER range and is not a substitute for wet chemical on a fryer or a dedicated lithium-ion unit. Water and foam operate +5 °C to +60 °C; keep them off cold loading docks.

What is the Prestige range?

Prestige is Jactone’s architectural finish of a standard portable extinguisher. Fire rating, medium and EN3 duty match the equivalent Premium model; the difference is the mirror-polished body, stainless steel handle and presentation for spaces that will not accept a painted workshop cylinder.

It is a finish range, not a sixth fire class. Choose the agent first, then Prestige if the point is visible.

What is it used for?

  • Hotels, restaurants, galleries, showrooms and professional offices
  • Listed or client-facing interiors where the extinguisher is part of the fit-out

The practical problem it solves is compliance without a red industrial can in a designed space.

CO2 published figures: discharge ~9.7 s, height 500 mm, diameter 117 mm, filled 5.02 kg / empty 3.02 kg, −20 °C to +60 °C, UKCA and CE.

A typical front-of-house pair is 6L foam + 2 kg CO2: A/B cover plus clean electrical. Add water only if the assessment is Class A and you want no foam film. Add wet chemical from the kitchen category if there is a fryer — Prestige does not include Class F.

Technical and safety notes

  • Identify by header colour, not by guessing the polish: foam cream, CO2 black, water red/Class A marking.
  • Water and foam: do not freeze; isolate electrics before a water-based attack.
  • CO2: asphyxiation risk in tiny rooms; frost-free horn on this model; no Class A rating.
  • Foam Eco Plus is PFAS-free. Do not describe it as AFFF.
  • Service under BS 5306-3. Polish needs wiping — that is the point of the finish.
  • Not MER. If the building is a vessel, use the Marine / Red Ensign category.
