Description

Precision Tool Control for Aircraft Base Maintenance

The RBT220T Base Maintenance (ASM) Kit is a complete, ready-to-work aviation hand tool solution designed for Aircraft Support Mechanics and base maintenance teams. Originally developed for Delta technicians, the kit contains 102 carefully selected tools housed in a robust wheeled case. Every tool sits in two-colour, Skydrol-resistant foam that delivers immediate visual control and helps prevent Foreign Object Debris (FOD) – a non-negotiable requirement in hangar and ramp environments.

The heavy-duty case measures 600 mm × 300 mm × 460 mm and weighs 20 kg when fully loaded, making it practical to move between aircraft stands or workshops. Contents include aerospace-grade ¼″ sockets, combination and open-end wrenches, ratchet drivers, precision screwdrivers, punches, pliers, and specialist inspection tools – all chosen for the everyday demands of line and base maintenance tasks.

Why Aviation Teams Choose the RBT220T
  • 102 tools in controlled foam – instant visual inventory and reduced risk of tool loss or FOD
  • Skydrol-resistant foam inserts – withstands common aircraft hydraulic fluids without degradation
  • Heavy-duty wheeled case – easy mobility across hangar floors and work areas
  • Aerospace-focused selection – combination wrenches, sockets, ratchets and punches sized for airframe and systems work
  • Proven airline pedigree – originally specified for major carrier technicians performing base maintenance
Built for Professional Use

Whether you are equipping a new base maintenance bay, replacing an ageing shadow-board set, or standardising tool kits across multiple aircraft types, the RBT220T gives technicians everything they need in one organised, mobile package. The two-tone foam layout makes missing tools obvious at a glance, supporting both safety and efficiency during critical turnarounds.

Etching Options
Information
Foam Etching
Foam Etching

The corresponding tool code is permanently laser-etched into the foam adjacent to each tool cut-out.

This provides immediate visual confirmation of missing tools and significantly strengthens shadow board / FOD control discipline. Ideal for hangar and workshop environments where rapid visual audits are required.

Standard Tool Etching
Standard Tool Etching

A single consistent code is laser-etched onto every tool in the kit. The code is supplied by the customer (maximum 8 characters).

Enables clear ownership identification across multiple kits, teams or locations. Particularly effective for reducing tool loss and preventing mix-ups on busy sites or mobile operations.

Sequential Tool Etching

Each tool is laser-etched with its own unique sequential code. The customer supplies both the base code and the starting number sequence (maximum 8 characters in total).

Combines kit-level identification with individual tool traceability. Recommended where precise tool logging, issue and return control is required, while still maintaining a clear link back to the parent kit.
