Description

Professional Tool Control for Aircraft Base Maintenance

The RBT220C Base Maintenance Aircraft Support Mechanic (ASM) Kit is a complete, aviation-focused solution designed for the exacting demands of hangar and base-level aircraft support work. It combines 68 carefully selected Bahco hand tools with a heavy-duty 8-drawer mobile tool cabinet, giving Aircraft Support Mechanics and MRO teams a ready-to-deploy system that prioritises accountability, speed and long-term durability.

Dual-colour foam inlays make missing tools immediately obvious, dramatically reducing the risk of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and the time spent searching for equipment between tasks. The cabinet itself is engineered for daily professional use, with a footprint of 677 mm × 501 mm and a working height of 950 mm, weighing 111 kg when fully loaded. Aerospace-specific sockets, combination wrenches, ERGO screwdrivers, pliers, punches and specialised cutters are all present, ensuring the kit covers the majority of routine base maintenance operations without the need to source individual tools.

Why the RBT220C Stands Out in Aviation Environments

Aviation maintenance operates under strict regulatory and safety regimes. A single misplaced tool can ground an aircraft or create a serious safety incident. The RBT220C addresses this reality head-on with its visual tool-control system while still delivering the ergonomic, high-quality Bahco tools that professionals trust for consistent performance. The result is faster shift turnovers, cleaner audits and greater confidence that every tool is present and correct at the end of the job.

Key Features at a Glance

Etching Options
Information
Foam Etching
Foam Etching

The corresponding tool code is permanently laser-etched into the foam adjacent to each tool cut-out.

This provides immediate visual confirmation of missing tools and significantly strengthens shadow board / FOD control discipline. Ideal for hangar and workshop environments where rapid visual audits are required.

Standard Tool Etching
Standard Tool Etching

A single consistent code is laser-etched onto every tool in the kit. The code is supplied by the customer (maximum 8 characters).

Enables clear ownership identification across multiple kits, teams or locations. Particularly effective for reducing tool loss and preventing mix-ups on busy sites or mobile operations.

Sequential Tool Etching

Each tool is laser-etched with its own unique sequential code. The customer supplies both the base code and the starting number sequence (maximum 8 characters in total).

Combines kit-level identification with individual tool traceability. Recommended where precise tool logging, issue and return control is required, while still maintaining a clear link back to the parent kit.
