Description

Professional Avionics Tool Control for Aircraft Maintenance Teams

The RBI9600ST Avionics Toolkit from Red Box Tools gives maintenance engineers and avionics specialists a complete, organised set of 262 imperial tools specifically selected for aircraft electrical and electronic work. Every tool is nested in high-visibility two-colour Skydrol-resistant foam inside a tough, wheeled synthetic resin case that is both watertight and impact-resistant, complete with a pressure-equalising valve. A spare foam sheet is included so the kit can be expanded later without buying a new case.

This configuration solves the everyday problems of tool loss, chemical damage from hydraulic fluid, and the need to move a full toolkit around the hangar or workshop floor quickly and safely.

Key Advantages at a Glance
  • 262 carefully selected Bahco and DMC tools for avionics and electrical work
  • Wheeled, watertight, impact-resistant synthetic resin case with pressure equalising valve
  • Two-colour Skydrol-resistant foam for instant visual tool control and chemical protection
  • Spare foam insert included for future kit expansion
  • Compact yet robust dimensions: 585 × 329 × 192 mm, total weight 15 kg
Built for Real Aircraft Environments

Skydrol and other phosphate-ester hydraulic fluids are highly aggressive towards standard foams and plastics. The RBI9600ST’s specialised foam resists this attack, keeping tools secure and visible even after repeated exposure. The case itself is designed to survive the knocks of daily hangar life while remaining fully mobile thanks to its integrated wheels and robust construction.

The tool selection covers the full range of common avionics tasks – from precision screwdrivers, pliers and cutters through to specialised insertion/removal tools, ratchet sets and socket drives – giving technicians everything they need in one controlled package rather than relying on multiple incomplete kits.

Information
Foam Etching
Foam Etching

The corresponding tool code is permanently laser-etched into the foam adjacent to each tool cut-out.

This provides immediate visual confirmation of missing tools and significantly strengthens shadow board / FOD control discipline. Ideal for hangar and workshop environments where rapid visual audits are required.

Standard Tool Etching
Standard Tool Etching

A single consistent code is laser-etched onto every tool in the kit. The code is supplied by the customer (maximum 8 characters).

Enables clear ownership identification across multiple kits, teams or locations. Particularly effective for reducing tool loss and preventing mix-ups on busy sites or mobile operations.

Sequential Tool Etching

Each tool is laser-etched with its own unique sequential code. The customer supplies both the base code and the starting number sequence (maximum 8 characters in total).

Combines kit-level identification with individual tool traceability. Recommended where precise tool logging, issue and return control is required, while still maintaining a clear link back to the parent kit.
