Description

Built for the Demands of Aircraft Maintenance Away from Base

Aircraft technicians working on the line, in hangars or at remote locations need tools that travel well, resist aviation fluids and stay completely organised. The RBI4000TDR Travelling Aircraft Mechanic Kit meets that need with a carefully selected set of 147 Bahco tools housed in a robust wheeled case measuring 545 mm × 350 mm × 240 mm and weighing 32 kg. Every tool sits in two-colour Skydrol-resistant foam spread across seven drawers, delivering the highest practical level of tool control while protecting both the tools and the surrounding aircraft structure from chemical attack and foreign-object damage.

The kit covers the core requirements of airframe and systems work: extensive ¼″ and ⅜″ aerospace socket ranges (including deep and long patterns), combination and open-end wrenches in AF sizes, ratchets, extensions, adapters, screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, a German DIN hammer, nylon mallet, LED torch, magnetic and flexible pick-ups, cotter-pin extractor and telescopic mirror. Bahco’s lifetime guarantee underpins the entire selection, giving maintenance teams confidence that the tools will remain serviceable under continuous professional use.

Why This Kit Solves Real Operational Problems
  • Complete tool control – Two-colour foam and seven dedicated drawers make missing tools immediately obvious and keep FOD risk to a minimum.
  • Chemical resistance – Skydrol-resistant foam withstands the hydraulic fluids commonly found in aircraft systems.
  • True portability – Integrated wheels and sensible overall dimensions allow the case to be moved easily between aircraft stands, workshops or vehicles.
  • Aviation-focused selection – Aerospace sockets, AF wrenches and specialist retrieval tools match the sizes and tasks encountered daily by aircraft mechanics.
  • Long-term reliability – Every Bahco tool carries a lifetime guarantee, protecting the investment for both individual technicians and fleet operators.

Information
Foam Etching
Foam Etching

The corresponding tool code is permanently laser-etched into the foam adjacent to each tool cut-out.

This provides immediate visual confirmation of missing tools and significantly strengthens shadow board / FOD control discipline. Ideal for hangar and workshop environments where rapid visual audits are required.

Standard Tool Etching
Standard Tool Etching

A single consistent code is laser-etched onto every tool in the kit. The code is supplied by the customer (maximum 8 characters).

Enables clear ownership identification across multiple kits, teams or locations. Particularly effective for reducing tool loss and preventing mix-ups on busy sites or mobile operations.

Sequential Tool Etching

Each tool is laser-etched with its own unique sequential code. The customer supplies both the base code and the starting number sequence (maximum 8 characters in total).

Combines kit-level identification with individual tool traceability. Recommended where precise tool logging, issue and return control is required, while still maintaining a clear link back to the parent kit.
