Description

Uncompromising Low-Level Access Safety

Podium steps are universally recognised as a safer, more stable alternative to traditional stepladders, providing secure, low-level access across construction sites, maintenance facilities, and retail environments. However, constant assembly, dismantling, and transport take a toll on their structural integrity. Without a structured daily inspection protocol, faulty locking gates, damaged anti-surf castors, or weakened platform decks can easily lead to serious falls and injuries. Our Podium Step Inspection Books empower your site operatives to conduct highly systematic, technical safety evaluations before they step off the ground, actively mitigating risks and preventing costly operational downtime.

  • Includes 25 comprehensive, pre-use checklists meticulously designed for podium steps.
  • Carbonless duplicate pages instantly generate a permanent, unalterable safety audit log.
  • Drives strict site adherence to the Work at Height Regulations (WAHR) and BS 8620.
  • Integrates seamlessly with equipment status tags for clear, visual safety communication.
  • Supplied in a highly durable, pocket-sized booklet built for rigorous daily site use.
Effortless WAHR & BS 8620 Compliance

The Work at Height Regulations (WAHR) place strict legal duties on employers to ensure all access equipment is systematically inspected, recorded, and strictly fit for purpose. Furthermore, adhering to the latest BS 8620 standards for low-level work platforms is critical for modern site compliance. Our check books fundamentally streamline this legislative burden. Each pad houses 25 individual, tear-out checklists equipped with an advanced carbon-less copy layer. Once the operative completes their pre-use evaluation, the original checklist is inserted into the podium’s display tag, whilst a precise, tamper-proof duplicate remains securely bound within the book’s spine. This delivers a legally sound, immediate audit trail for your health and safety managers.

Critical Inspection Criteria Addressed:
  • Platform & Guardrails: Prompts a detailed assessment of the main decking platform, toe boards, and perimeter guardrails to ensure a secure working enclosure.

  • Mobility & Stability: Guides a systematic check of locking castors, anti-surf feet, and vital stabiliser deployments to guarantee absolute stability during use.

  • Access & Hardware: Ensures thorough inspection of folding mechanisms, locking pins, welds, and self-closing access gates for signs of material fatigue or impact damage.

  • Instant Visual Tagging: Designed to pair flawlessly with existing safety tagging hardware, immediately broadcasting a definitive “Good to Go” or a critical “Do Not Use” status to all contractors.
