Description

Ensure Total Roadworthiness and Site Safety

Trailers are often the “forgotten” workhorses of a fleet, yet they carry significant risk both on public highways and busy worksites. Mechanical degradation in the braking system or a weakened chassis can lead to catastrophic accidents. Our Trailer Inspection Books provide a structured, technical framework for operators to perform vital pre-shift evaluations. By systematically checking high-wear components like the breakaway cable, jockey wheel, and hitch head, you proactively eliminate the risk of accidental decoupling and ensure your equipment is always “Good to Go.”

Robust Compliance and Audit Documentation

Under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) and DVSA standards, maintaining accurate, up-to-date maintenance logs is a legal necessity. These Trailer Inspection Check Books streamline the recording process. Each book features 25 individual, tear-out checklists with an integrated carbonless copy layer. While the top sheet is placed in the trailer’s status tag for instant visibility, the duplicate is retained securely within the book, providing management with a reliable, unalterable audit trail that stands up to the most rigorous health and safety inspections.

Key Technical Inspection Points:
  • Coupling Systems: Detailed checks for the hitch head, safety chains, and breakaway cable integrity.

  • Running Gear & Chassis: Evaluation of tyre pressures, tread depth, floor integrity, and overall chassis condition.

  • Electrical Safety: Systematic verification of the 7/13-pin plug, lighting arrays, and reflectors.

  • Load Security: Prompts for the inspection of lashing points and load distribution to prevent swaying or instability.
