The Jactone Marine Range 5kg CO₂ Fire Extinguisher (EC5MER) is a high-capacity carbon dioxide fire extinguisher developed for professional marine fire safety applications. Approved to the Merchant Shipping (Marine Equipment) Regulations SI 2016/1025, it is designed for use against Class B and electrical fire risks, making it a practical choice for vessels and marine environments where protecting electrical systems, machinery and other sensitive equipment is important. CO₂ leaves no residue after discharge and, according to Jactone, will not harm machinery or electrical equipment.
The EC5MER delivers a 70B fire rating with an average discharge time of 16.8 seconds, providing greater extinguishing capacity than the 2kg Marine model. It features a quality aluminium cylinder, high-quality valve and discharge horn assembly, plus Jactone’s distinctive colour-coded handle and header label. The extinguisher is specified for operating temperatures between -20°C and +60°C, supporting use across a broad range of professional working conditions.
