Description

Description

Maximise Industrial Floor Space and Site Safety

Managing hazardous liquids and heavy steel drums often leads to cluttered workspaces and potential safety hazards. The Loadtek Stacking Drum Pallet Racking System is an engineered solution designed to eliminate floor clutter and mitigate spill risks. Proudly made in Britain, this heavy-duty system allows you to store and dispense liquids efficiently while maintaining strict workplace safety and hygiene standards.

Whether you are running a small automotive workshop or a large-scale manufacturing plant, this modular racking setup grows alongside your business.

Robust, Expandable Storage Capacity

At the core of the system is the robust Pallet Unit, which securely holds 2 drums per tier. Designed to handle standard 200/220 litre steel drums , it features a strong welded steel construction for exceptional longevity in demanding environments. To help you make the most of your vertical footprint, the pallet feet measure a stable 127mm square, allowing for safe maximum stacking up to 3 units high. The racking is finished in a high-visibility, corrosion-resistant red epoxy.

Spill Containment and Manoeuvrability

Safety and environmental compliance are paramount when handling industrial fluids. To prevent hazardous leaks from reaching your floor, the system pairs perfectly with the purpose-built Sump Unit.

  • High-Capacity Containment: Features a generous 250-litre capacity to safely catch spills and drips.

  • Heavy-Duty Build: Formed from 3mm sheet steel with fully welded seams to guarantee leak-proof performance.

  • Forklift Friendly: Includes built-in fork pockets (240 x 70mm) with a 920mm maximum width over the forks, ensuring quick and safe repositioning.

  • Accessible Design: Offers a 100mm ground clearance and is coated in a durable grey epoxy finish.

Tailor Your Setup with Optional Extras

Every facility operates differently, which is why the Loadtek system offers a suite of modular accessories to streamline your workflow:

  • Drum Rotating Sets: Fitted with 4 x 65mm diameter nylon rollers per drum position. These drop directly onto the pallet unit, allowing operators to effortlessly rotate heavy drums.

  • Dispenser Stands: These handy shelves hook directly onto the pallet, providing a stable 330 x 340 x 290mm platform for your measuring jugs and funnels.

  • Drum Retaining Bars: Provide an added layer of stability to secure drums firmly in place.

FAQ's

Question
Technical Answer
What does COSHH stand for and why do I need a cabinet? COSHH stands for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health. You need a specialised cabinet to safely contain corrosive, toxic, or irritant substances, ensuring compliance with UK health and safety laws.
What is a sump and what capacity should it have? A sump is a leak-proof base designed to catch spills. UK regulations require the sump to hold 110% of the largest container or 10% of the total volume stored, whichever is greater.
What do the different cabinet colours mean? Yellow: Flammables
White: Acids and Alkalis
Red: Flammables or Chemicals
Green: Pesticides & Agrochemicals
Grey: General Hazardous
Can I store flammables and acids in the same cabinet? NO. You must segregate incompatible substances. Storing flammables with corrosive acids can lead to dangerous chemical reactions or compromise the cabinet’s integrity.
How much flammable liquid can I store? DSEAR regulations recommend a maximum of 50 litres for highly flammable liquids (flashpoint < 23°C) and up to 250 litres for other flammable liquids within a workroom.
Are these COSHH cabinets fire-rated? Our QMP Steel units are Reaction to Fire EN 13501-1 certified and have a performance of A2, s2, d0.
Do pesticide cabinets require ventilation? Yes. Our pesticide cabinets feature louvred doors to allow for natural ventilation, preventing the dangerous build-up of vapours and fumes.
Can COSHH cabinets be used outdoors? Steel cabinets are for indoor use. For outdoors, we recommend our Hazardous Bins or Chests. We can also provide quotes for galvanised cabinets.
Should the cabinet be bolted to the floor? Highly Recommended. Floor-bolting tall cabinets prevents tipping, especially when heavy liquid containers are stored on upper shelves.
Are the shelves adjustable? Yes. Shelves can be moved in 25mm increments to accommodate various container heights while maintaining structural safety.
Manufacturing & Delivery All HSE Store COSHH cabinets are British-made and delivered fully assembled to ensure they meet safety integrity standards from day one.
Regulations (DSEAR) Our cabinets help you meet DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations) requirements for fire-resistant, secure storage.
