Description

Professional Aviation Maintenance Tool Kit

The Red Box RBTSK208T Aviation Maintenance Technology Student Kit is a comprehensive, professionally configured tool solution designed for aviation maintenance training and technical applications. Developed for Portland Community College’s Aviation Maintenance Technology programme, the kit combines 90 aviation hand tools with a robust, protective tool case, providing students and professionals with a structured selection of equipment for a wide range of mechanical, inspection, fastening and workshop tasks.

At the heart of the RBTSK208T is a watertight, impact-resistant synthetic resin case featuring a pressure-equalising valve and Skydrol-resistant construction, making it particularly well suited to demanding aviation maintenance environments. The tools are housed within precision foam layers using contrasting red and anthracite colours. This provides an immediate visual indication when a tool has been removed from its designated position, helping make tool control faster, easier and safer – an important consideration where loose tools can present a significant operational concern.

90-Piece Aviation Maintenance Selection

The comprehensive tool complement covers a broad range of everyday maintenance requirements, including 1/4″ and 3/8″ drive ratchets and aerospace sockets, extension bars, universal joints, adaptors and combination wrenches. The kit also incorporates specialist items such as a spark plug socket, brake bleeder wrench, various pliers and cutters, micrometers, a 150mm caliper, combination square, steel rule, magnetic tape measure, inspection mirror, magnifiers and lighting.

Further equipment includes a ratcheting bit screwdriver, Dzus fastener screwdriver, Ergo screwdrivers, automatic centre punch, scriber, hacksaw equipment, files, punches, ball pein and dead-blow hammers, magnetic and flexible pick-up tools. The second page of the manufacturer’s specification also adds a hex key set, automatic wire stripper, terminal plier, tyre valve core torque tool and brass O-ring installation and extraction tools.

Built for Tool Control and Portability

With its integrated foam storage system, durable protective case and dedicated tool locations, the RBTSK208T offers considerably more than simply supplying a collection of individual tools. The colour-contrast foam layout makes it much easier to identify missing equipment during tool checks, while the protective case is designed to safeguard the contents during transport and storage. The supplied case measures 530mm × 405mm × 250mm and weighs 25kg when configured as specified.

For aviation maintenance students, training establishments and professional users, this makes the RBTSK208T a practical way to keep a comprehensive range of required tools together, organised and readily identifiable.

Foam Etching
Foam Etching

The corresponding tool code is permanently laser-etched into the foam adjacent to each tool cut-out.

This provides immediate visual confirmation of missing tools and significantly strengthens shadow board / FOD control discipline. Ideal for hangar and workshop environments where rapid visual audits are required.

Standard Tool Etching
Standard Tool Etching

A single consistent code is laser-etched onto every tool in the kit. The code is supplied by the customer (maximum 8 characters).

Enables clear ownership identification across multiple kits, teams or locations. Particularly effective for reducing tool loss and preventing mix-ups on busy sites or mobile operations.

Sequential Tool Etching
Sequential Tool Etching

Each tool is laser-etched with its own unique sequential code. The customer supplies both the base code and the starting number sequence (maximum 8 characters in total).

Combines kit-level identification with individual tool traceability. Recommended where precise tool logging, issue and return control is required, while still maintaining a clear link back to the parent kit.
