The Armorgard AdaptaKart AK750 is a heavy-duty, adaptable board trolley designed to make the handling and movement of plasterboard, panels and other large sheet materials considerably easier. With a 750kg working load limit, robust 2mm steel construction and a versatile pivoting rack, it provides businesses with a practical solution for moving materials around workshops, warehouses and building sites while helping to reduce the need for repeated twisting, lifting and manual handling.
Unlike a conventional sheet material trolley, the AK750 can be configured for different handling requirements. Its adjustable arms accommodate boards up to 1800mm, 2500mm and 3000mm, while the smaller fold-down arms can be used for materials up to 900mm high. The pivoting rack can also rotate through 90 degrees, allowing materials to be transported in an upright position or positioned horizontally to create a practical work and cutting bench.
Built for Safer, More Controlled Handling
One of the key features of the AdaptaKart AK750 is its SafeStop auto-engaged braking system. The brake automatically engages when the handles are released, helping keep the trolley stationary when it is not being manoeuvred. To move the trolley, the operator uses the handles to release the brake and can then steer the unit using both hands.
The AK750 is fitted with four heavy-duty swivel castors plus a central castor, together with integrated forklift skids for easier movement and positioning. Two ratchet straps and dedicated lashing points allow loads to be secured during movement, helping provide greater control when transporting sheet materials around the workplace or site.
The trolley is manufactured from 2mm steel and finished with a durable powder-coated coating, giving it the robust construction expected of professional site and workshop handling equipment. It is weather resistant and suitable for outdoor use, although Armorgard advises that it is not waterproof and materials susceptible to water damage should be suitably protected.
Optional Wooden Board Kit
For applications where protecting finished materials and surfaces is particularly important, the Armorgard AK750-WBK Wooden Board Kit is available as an optional extra. The kit adds wooden boards to the AdaptaKart to provide additional protection for materials and their finishes, making it a useful upgrade when handling panels or other materials where contact with the steel framework could be a concern.
The wooden board kit is supplied with 46 screws and is designed to be secured to the pre-drilled pilot holes in the AdaptaKart. The boards should be fully fitted and securely fastened before the trolley is loaded. The AK750-WBK can be selected as an option when purchasing the AdaptaKart AK750.
