HSE Store

At HSE Store, we know that managing locker rooms can be a logistical headache. If you’re tired of the constant cost and time spent replacing lost keys or calling out locksmiths for jammed barrels, our padlock lockers are the perfect solution. By shifting the responsibility of the lock to the user, you eliminate key management from your daily "to-do" list, making these lockers the ultimate "set-and-forget" storage choice for schools, gyms, and busy workplaces.

Built to Endure Real-World Use

We understand that lockers in high-traffic areas take a beating. That’s why our range is manufactured right here in the UK using high-grade steel. We don’t compromise on security; every door is fitted with internal stiffeners to prevent buckling and forced entry. Whether you're dealing with a boisterous school corridor or a heavy-duty industrial changing room, these lockers are designed to stay functional and look professional for years, saving you money on future replacements.

Solving the Hygiene and Safety Challenge

Maintaining a clean and safe environment is a top priority for any facility manager. Our padlock lockers come standard with Germ Guard Active Technology, a specialised antibacterial powder coating that inhibits the growth of bacteria like E. coli and MRSA. Furthermore, we help you tick the compliance box—all our lockers are Reaction to Fire EN 13501-1 certified, ensuring they meet the stringent fire safety standards required for UK public buildings and escape routes.

Tailored to Your Specific Space

Every facility has unique requirements, which is why we offer complete flexibility in configuration. From full-height single-door units for hanging uniforms to multi-compartment lockers for small personal items, we have a layout that maximises your available floor space. With a wide palette of door colours, you can transform a dull changing room into a vibrant, on-brand environment that your staff or students will actually enjoy using.

Why Facilities Managers Choose Our Padlock Lockers:

  • Zero Key Management: The swivel latch (hasp and staple) design allows users to use their own padlocks, removing the need for you to hold master keys.

  • UK Manufactured Quality: Robust steel construction that outperforms cheaper, flimsy imports.

  • Improved Airflow: Integrated ventilation slots in every door keep contents fresh and prevent damp odours.

  • Infection Control: Germ Guard coating reduces the spread of germs in shared spaces by up to 99.9%.

  • Fire Safety Compliant: Certified to meet UK building regulations for fire safety.

  • Customisable Aesthetics: Choose from a variety of colours to match your interior design or corporate branding.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if a user forgets their padlock combination or loses their key?
Since the user provides the lock, you don’t need to manage a master key system. If a user is locked out, a facility manager can simply use bolt cutters to remove the padlock. This leaves the locker itself completely undamaged and immediately ready for the next person to use.

What size padlock is required for the swivel latch?
Our lockers are designed to be compatible with most standard padlocks. For the best fit and highest security, we recommend a padlock with a shackle diameter between 5mm and 7mm.

Are these lockers suitable for damp environments like swimming pools?
Our standard steel lockers are incredibly durable for dry changing rooms, but for high-humidity areas like poolside, we recommend our galvanised steel ranges / splash proof. If you are unsure which material is best for your specific environment, our team is happy to advise.

Do you offer discounts for large-scale projects?
Yes, we frequently support large-scale fit-outs for schools, hospitals, and distribution centres. If you are looking to purchase in bulk, please contact our sales team for a bespoke quote tailored to your specific volume requirements.

Are the lockers delivered as individual units or "nested"?
We offer both options. You can order individual units or "nests" of 2 or 3. Nesting lockers together during the manufacturing process is more cost-effective and makes the installation process much faster for larger rooms.

How do I prevent people from "claiming" a locker permanently?
Padlock lockers make it very easy to implement "clear-out" policies. Many of our clients use a "clear by end of shift" or "clear by end of day" rule. Any padlocks left on after hours can be removed to ensure fair access for all users the following day.

Is it difficult to install these lockers?
Not at all, as they arrive fully assembled. However, for safety and stability, we always recommend that locker banks are bolted together and securely anchored to a wall or the floor to prevent tipping, particularly in schools.
We can even quote for an installation service!
